Valdosta Educators Credit Union Expands Services
VALDOSTA -- Valdosta Educators Credit Union announces plans to
merge with MEA Federal Credit Union, a $50 million credit union
based in Columbus, Ga.
The merger is expected to become effective in March. With a
combined capital strength of 15 percent and assets of $62 million,
it will allow the Valdosta location to extend its business hours
and increase service benefits for Valdosta State University
members.
"The education common bond is key to our partnership and to our
success going forward," said Polly Bell, chief executive officer of
MEA Federal Credit Union. "I am very excited about the opportunity
to bring MEA's expanded programs to Valdosta State educators as
well as increase the credit union's involvement in the Valdosta

they live."
