Taste Buds will Travel at the 34th International Dinner April 3

VALDOSTA -- Valdosta State University's Center for International Programs invites community members to take their taste buds on a trip around the world at the 34th Annual International Dinner at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, in the Student Union Ballroom.

A celebration of cultural diversity, the event will feature cuisine from more than 30 countries including India, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Albania, Turkmenistan, Colombia, the Bahamas, Cameroon and more. During the feast, students will entertain guests with traditional and contemporary music, dance performances, skits and an international fashion show.

Within VSU's student body of almost 12,400, there are 250 international students from more than 60 countries. The annual event was established as a way for them to share part of their culture to the Valdosta community.

Tickets must be purchased in advance at the Center for International Programs located at 204 Georgia Ave. No tickets will be sold at the door. Prices are $20 for adults, $10 for VSU students with valid ID, and free for children under the age of 5. Proceeds benefit the Society of International Students.
