VSU Hosts Fall Career Expo

VALDOSTA - The office of Career Services is hosting the annual Fall Career Expo from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, in the University Center’s Magnolia rooms.

VSU alumni and current students have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with over 30 potential employers and graduate school representatives. Anyone holding or pursuing a degree at another institution is invited as well. Individuals are encouraged to dress professionally, bring many copies of their resumes, and inquire about the multitude of opportunities available.

Winifred Collins, director of Career Services, said the expo is an excellent opportunity for VSU students and alumni to meet with employers and graduate school representatives.

"The expo has always been beneficial in helping students jump start their job search but in today’s current economic crisis, it is crucial that students speak with corporate and governmental recruiters interested in offering employment opportunities," she said. "Also, representatives from local and regional graduate schools will be available to discuss their academic programs in areas such as law, business, counseling, pharmacy, and veterinary medicine."
