Local Venues to Show Semifinal Blazer Football

VALDOSTA - Blazer fans can choose one of many local venues that have planned a special showing of the NCAA Division II Semifinal game, featuring the Valdosta State Blazers vs. California Vulcans. The game will be televised at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, on ESPNU with Dave Armstrong calling play-by-play and Jay Walker providing commentary.

Radio broadcast will be provided by WWRQ, 107.9 FM. Dick Rockey (play-by-play), Tom Odom (analysis) and Wes James (sideline) will provide game coverage. Fans can follow the action via the Internet at www.rock108.fm .

The following locations plan to show the broadcast:

Beef O’Brady’s
The VSU Alumni Association will sponsor viewing parties at two locations: 3200 N. Ashley St., Valdosta, and 3590 Old Atlanta Rd., Suwannee.

Charley O’Corley’s,
Look for food and drinks specials at the Irish pub and grill. Location: 1903 Baytree Rd.

Loco’s Grill and Pub
Guests can view the Blazers in both the bar and the dining room, as the game will be shown at the Valdosta and Albany locations: 1703 Gornto Rd., Valdosta, and 547 North Westover Blvd., Albany.

Valdosta State University
The Dean of Students office is sponsoring a special showing for VSU students, faculty and staff who do not want to go to a crowded restaurant. The game will be shown in the Continuing Education Building’s auditorium, 903 North Patterson St., doors open at 10:30 a.m.
