AFROTC Collecting Saturday for Christmas in the Desert
VALDOSTA - The AFROTC cadets are collecting items for Christmas
in the Desert from noon until 2 p.m. this Saturday at
Bazemore-Hyder Stadium, before the Blazer football game. A
collection box will be available to gather items to send to our
troops in Iraq, which will be shipped overseas this Christmas. The
following items have been deemed acceptable:
Monetary donation
Chewing Gum
Sunflower Seeds
Canned peanuts/mixed nuts
Canned Chips
Canned meat
Saltines
Hot Sauce
Honey
Cheese in a can
Hard Candy (no chocolate)
Small Games
Playing cards
Chapstick/lip balm
Writing tablets/envelopes/stamps
Pens/pencils (sharpened)
Wipes/liquid Soap/hand sanitizer
Books/comic books/magazines
Crossword puzzle/other puzzle books
Batteries
Hand/feet warmers
