Valdosta State University's Counseling Center re-accredited by IACS

The Valdosta State University Counseling Center has been re-accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services, Inc., an Alexandria, Virginia based organization of United States, Canadian and Australian counseling agencies. The Counseling Center was evaluated by IACS against high standards of counseling practice and was found to offer competent and reliable professional services to its clientele. Approval by IACS is also dependent upon evidence of continuing professional development as well as demonstration of excellence of counseling performance.

The VSU Counseling Center is directed by Dr. Victor C. Morgan and offers individual and group counseling, educational counseling, seminars/workshops, outreach programming, training, crisis intervention, testing, consultation and referral services.

It is a university counseling center serving VSU students, faculty and staff. The Center is one of only 4 colleges/universities in Georgia to receive IACS accreditation.

IACS was founded in 1972 to encourage and aid counseling agencies to meet high professional standards through peer evaluation and to inform the public about counseling services that are competent and reliable.
