Students meet potential employers at Fall Career Expo

Valdosta State University's Office of Career Services & Cooperative Education will host its annual Fall Career Exposition on Tuesday, October 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on the mezzanine level of the PE Complex.

Over 40 organizations will be present at the expo, representing a variety of government agencies, banking institutions, law enforcement, military branches, medical facilities, social services, and other well-established corporations. A list of participating employers is available at http://www.valdosta.edu/career/ .

The expo, open to all VSU alumni and current students, is a great opportunity for VSU students and alumni to meet with potential employers to discuss career information and planning, internships, and full time employment.

VSU participants should dress professionally and should bring several copies of their resumes. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for maximum exposure to all representatives.

Career Services also hosts a number of seminars throughout the year to help students successfully prepare for the work force, including job search, resume writing, and interviewing techniques. For more information on these services or the upcoming expo, call Career Services at 333-5942/5415.
