SIFE Sweeps Atlanta Regionals

Valdosta State University's Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) Team won its tenth consecutive regional championship in Atlanta on Thursday, April 14.

The regional champions captured all four special competitions, including the AFLAC National Free Market Economics Award, Sam's Club National Entrepreneurship Award, Campbell's National Business Ethics Award and HSBC Bank National Personal Financial Skills Award. A total of 65 SIFE members went to the competition. Most secured summer internships and/or jobs.

The SIFE Team completed 46 projects and volunteered over 10,000 hours in service-learning projects this year. The judges gave them a standing ovation after the competition.

The team will travel to Kansas City to compete for the national title from May 21 to 25.
