Blazer Week Build for Habitat for Humanity scheduled for January15-21

The Valdosta State University Department of Athletics and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee are sponsoring "Blazer Week Build," a week long Habitat for Humanity effort to build a home for a family in need. The dates are January 15-21. The majority of VSU student-athletes will be working Saturday and Sunday, January 15-16 and other volunteers will be working throughout the week.

In addition, VSU's Office of Equal Opportunity Programs and Multicultural Affairs will also assist the Blazer Week Build effort on Thursday, January 20, with a Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative build day. The work that day will honor the life and teachings of Martin Luther King, Jr. This year's event provides members of the VSU community an opportunity to commemorate a life of service by serving the community. Volunteers for the Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative build day are asked to call 333-5463 to sign up for the event.
