*Meeting dates are subject to change but usually the Graduate Executive Committee meets at 2:00 pm the Thursday before the Academic Committee meets.

  • FALL 2008 Deadline: September 19

  • Spring 2009 deadline: February 20

  • The graduate faculty application must be accompanied by a supporting memo from the applicant's department and a supporting memo from the dean of the applicant's college before it will be considered by the membership committee.

  • Include a blank copy of the student evaluation questionnaire used in the department and place numerical results in Item #3.
  • Those applying for renewal of their status must follow the instructions as outlined above.

Application Process Closed - Funds Exhausted

The Graduate School currently has funds that may be spent on professional and pedagogical development activities as they pertain to graduate duties (this includes travel and supplies). Requests are limited to no more than $650 and must be spent within the current fiscal year. For more information, visit the link below.

Conflict Resolution

  • Conflict Resolution Process and Committee Information Flyer (fomerly Alternative Dispute Resolution)
  • FOR FACULTY, STAFF, AND STUDENTS -- In 1994, the University System of Georgia Board
    of Regents' initiative and the Consortium on Negotiation and Conflict Resolution established
    a system-wide conflict resolution program as a way to:
    1. communicate differences without opposition
    2. resolve conflict at lowest level
    3. improve institutional environment
    4. lead the development of ADR in higher education

An embedded Excel spreadsheet can be accessed and modified endlessly by double clicking on it. The form
itself is a Word document. Each department/program can modify language on the form to fit its needs.

The Office of Grants and Contracts supports Valdosta State University faculty and staff in their pursuits of external funding for research and sponsored programs. The office also serves as the central coordination point for all research and sponsored program grants.
