It was Bear's birthday.  He was having a party and had to decorate!

                                     2
Right when he finished decorating, the doorbell rang.  The guests started to arrive.

                                     3
The first to arrive were the two Frog sisters.  They could not wait for the party to begin.

                                     4
Then, the three Lion brothers arrived.

                                     5
Now there were five guests.
(2 Frog Sisters + 3 Lion brothers = 5 Guests)
                                     6
Soon, Bobby and Brenda Bear rang the doorbell.  They came in and joined the party.

                                     8
The last guests to arrive were Mary Monkey, and David and Donna Dog.

                            7
All ten guests were there and ready to celebrate.  They could not wait for Bear to open his presents.

(2 Frog Sisters + 3 Lion Brothers + 2 Bears + 1 Monkey + 2 Dogs =
10 Guests)

                            9
Bear loved all of his presents.  He received a cowboy hat, a Barbie doll, a bear in a red wagon, and a stuffed banana.  In all, Bear received four presents.

(1 Hat + 1 Doll + 1 Wagon + 1 Banana = 4 Presents)

                                    10
The party was finally over.  It was time for everyone to go home.

                                    11
Bear was so tired from his exciting day, he went straight to bed without cleaning up.
