My name is Amanda Evans and I am twenty one years old. I have lived in Valdosta for about six years, and I absolutely love it here! I am currently a junior at Valdosta State University in the Early Childhood and Special Education Department. I am majoring in Early Childhood and Reading Education and plan to graduate in December of 2009. I am extremely excited about becoming a teacher and having my own classroom!
In my spare time I
enjoy spending time with friends and family and shopping. My
favorite stores to shop at are New York and Company, PetSmart, and Macy's. I am
also an avid University of Florida fan, and love to visit GatorZone. One
place I have always wanted to visit is Greece. My fiance and I
have decided to take our honeymoon there and love to visit GoGreece to get ideas
on places to visit while we are there.

As a future
educator, I enjoy researching new and exciting activities that keep
learning fun. I plan to implement these new ideas one day when I
have my own classroom. Some sites that I enjoy are Scholastic, TeacherPlanet, and ABCTeach.
Scholastic offers lesson plans, student activities, time saving tips,
and teaching strategies. Teacher Planet has lesson plans,
worksheets, rubrics, and gradebook ideas. ABC Teach contains
lesson plans, activities, and many worksheets.
